Earthworks organisers " hoped that the competition would stimulate cartoonists to use their pens and wit to help combat environmental devastation and give new impetus to our desperate fight to stop global warming."  The winning cartoon, "Coat Star", is by Mikhail Zlatkovsky from Russia.
