  last section we discussed some of the early Christian churches along with the 
  archaeological finds at those sites--Nazareth, Bethlehem, Cana, Capernaum, and 
  the sites by the lake where Jesus had such a rich ministry.   This section 
  will continue the focus on the beginnings of Christianity, primarily where the 
  archaeology provides some information about the Church or the culture that 
  characterized the ministry in that region.  The easiest way to organize the 
  material is to start in Jerusalem, and then move to other cities in the land 
  and eventually throughout Syria and Asia Minor.  Here especially we shall have 
  to be brief, focusing on the most significant things for biblical 
  studies--otherwise this becomes a study of the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine
