Philip Roth, who will be 75 in March, is one of America's most critically acclaimed living writers. His 1969 novel "Portnoy's Complaint" brought him fame, and he went on to win a Pulitzer Prize for 1997's "American Pastoral." It will be interesting to see if changes to avoid future attempted misuse of the President's powers. He placed himself above Congress and treated those people with a total lack of respect. He virtually took them out of the equation. Whether he is forgotten or history is altered to paint him in a different light, he must be learnt from. POP |
