Which Bob Kerrey are we to believe?

The 2002 Bob Kerrey, "… Regime change is the only way we can safely reduce our military commitment to the region."

Or the Bob Kerrey from this clipped article, "Finally, Jim Webb said something during his campaign for the Senate that should be emblazoned on the desks of all 535 members of Congress: You do not have to occupy a country in order to fight the terrorists who are inside it."

Sure is a lot of postulating "what if's" to try and back up his positions.

Maybe this is the Bob Kerrey we should believe (2004): "by the way, there's a credible case that the president's own negligence prior to 9/11 at least in part contributed to the disaster in the first place. "
