not sure about the execution of this......but the general concept is quite innovative

Sounds good until the prank calls start. I think a better idea would be movement sensory lights. They could operate only on movement of a certain height so a large dog wouldn't set it off but a child of a certain height would. A person walks, the lights go on. Once they're passed by, the lights go out.

good thinking, tanyamm - sounds a bit like those "burglar deterrent" light sensor flood lights people have in their homes/gardens.
