it works with a few glitches (i.e. lines running across the screen) but if you run it a second time it seems to work I'll keep you updated...

Fascinating, I can think of a number of uses for this — isn't conversion time for FLV ---> another movie format usually pretty slow?

Not sure. I have a plugin for Firefox to download FLV videos, but I haven't found any good conversion freeware. So I was just stuck using an FLV player. That is why I thought this was pretty cool.

this is great for ripping mp3s and saving music vids. i was using a flv downloader addon from firefox and a flv to avi converter but it was a hassle, the quality was shot, and this site saves me alot of time. i'll get rid of the trashy shareware now and hope this site doesnt die.

An excellent tool. Super easy and fast. No need to download anything to use it. IT's Free. Seems too good to be true, but it's true. I converted so many music videos from youtube into mp3s. It's fantastic. Can't boast about it enough.

K-lite codec pack comes with the media player classic and firefox has the extension Download helper.
I have no problems with video anywhere
