Beautiful bird. Good to hear they will be releasing it when it's better ... healthier. Hope they get some DNA to study while it's being held. It would be great to see more of these birds flying the skies in Colorado and elsewhere.

This is not an albino golden eagle....It is leucistic. Means that the pigments in some of the cells are just not turned on. In albinism it is melanin only that is affected this affects all pigments. As for more of them in the air...we do not need to get DNA samples and try to make these birds. This is a mutation, a random genetic defect and it is selected against because it is very bad for concealment. Anyways just trying to get the truth out!
