merrie says: But the remains of two children, a boy and a girl, were still missing, opening the door for some to speculate that maybe there were survivors of the execution. Now, the lab has again helped the Russian government by identifying the remains of those two children, found last year in a shallow grave about 70 feet from the larger gravesite. “There’s no doubt that nobody escaped,” said Dr. Michael Coble, the research section chief for the lab. “We can conclude here that based on this evidence, we have [recovered] the two missing children.” “These types of cases are so challenging that we can apply what we learn in those cases to the current-day effort of [the servicemember identification] mission,” Finelli said. “We test ourselves with these very hard cases, and then we can apply it to the casework to account for our fallen. So it’s always a little bit of a selfish motivation.” http://www.answers.com/nicholas II Sorry, I have my thinking cap on already and I have a insight that is not unusual or coincidental but almost uncanny and chilling in thought. I remember Anna Anderson's story quite well. It is a staple of Conspiracy Theory that no hack worth his salt would not know. Ms. Anderson woke up in an Allied MASH unit after WWII claiming amnesia. She spoke German, Russian and French fluently. She was identified by a cousin of the Czar as bearing an uncanny resemblance to Anastasia who was all of 14 the last time she had seen her. There was much ballyhoo about this following WW II and Stalin was very close-mouthed about it all. Not strange as he was busy killing what members of his Army General Staff ... Yes, very disburbing indeed. |
