Good - I think reason will prevail here. Look, the guy's been preaching into microphones for more than 20 years. From all that time - hundreds of hours of sermons - there are 90 seconds of outrageous clips. I want to say to the media, "Is this all ya got?" And they would reply, "It's a slam dunk!" The idea that the outrageous 90 seconds are somehow representative of the 20 years from which media sleuths have found little else just doesn't add up. If it's typical, it's everywhere. It isn't, because it isn't. (BTW, as a pastor, I am certain that any preacher could be kookified by 90 seconds of comments excerpted from 20 years!) |
