Due to space considerations, appliances such as mini-refrigerators and microwaves are not permitted in residence hall rooms. A refrigerator and microwaves are provided in each residence hall.

Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating when visiting homes in town and may not attend movie theaters.

All weapons must be turned in for storage. Trigger locks are required for pistols. Fireworks are not permitted on campus.

My wife's cousin, a student at the University of Iran in Tehran, was arrested for selling a socialist newspaper on campus shortly after the Iranian revolution, something which had been legal the day before. There were so many people in the cell that most of the time they had to stand and they had to take turns to sit down and to defecate. Ooops, our bad, lucky you weren't one of those taken out and shot. Needless to say the cousin left Iran in a heartbeat and is now in Canada. On the other hand, Bob Jones University was one of the best experiences of my life. Later my Iranian wife and I put our half Iranian children in Bob Jones Elementary School for a few years and they loved it. They can hardly wait to go to college there some day.
