gingembre says: It isn't just the drunks and the disturbed who are homeless and living in tent cities these days. Here are some portable alternatives to tents for economic refugees. Nice! Very nice, but, how much do they cost? I don't know the cost of most of these, tanyamm, but I did track down the cost of this hexayurt, which claims to be a $200 DIY (and has a link to design/building instructions in the public domain). I was thinking of these homeless people living in tent cities. If something like this could be made available for the homeless who couldn't get a bed for the night because the shelters were full. That happens a lot. The shelters only have so many beds and they are separated, men from women and children. For some reason there's less space for the women and children. There may be more men but the children have the greater need. Give the shelters to the women and children and give the men the use of these portable shelters. |
