Really? You were offended that Hillary stated a historical fact? Sounds to me like the writer hit it head on if that is the case.

Personally, I do not get offended because I choose to not be offended. If you get offended, it is because you choose to be offended.

As a rule, white people strongly prefer to get offended on behalf of other people.

I think that's true because there's never been a stimga attached to being white. We've never been made to feel ashamed of the colour of our skins. But what I do suffer from, having been a part of the minority white group that oppressed a majority black group, is guilt - guilt - guilt!

Wilhelm is so cool but he's also wrong...Hillary was not stating a fact (other than RFK was assassinated--how odious). It's a lie that the Nomination was still in doubt in June '92--it was wrapped up in March.
As for guilt about what happened in the past--I find that just learning the truth and knowing when to fight the LIES about Amercia's history does enough to stop any "white man's guilt. I am not my ancestors and I know what they did or didn't do. Someday we whitey's will be the one's ashamed to have this color skin (unless of course the Human family gets over that crap).
