What exactly is the religious significance of colored lights at Christmas? And the tree is too religious as well? Heck, if they don't want to offend anyone, then they should just have no decorations at all and work right through the holiday season without any days off.

I heard a segment concerning this on O'Reilly. He was equating Christmas with reindeer, Christmas trees, and colored lights. Well....maybe for some, but sorry; it's still about "Christ"mas and that's the bottom line.

Whether religious or not, some people obviously don't have a life if they dig that deep to spoil the fun.
Why not ban white lights because it is wrong to talk about virginity? Yellow because it reminds people of the racist "yellow peril? Blue lights because of "blue movies, or that we only have to fear the sky falling on us?

Clearly this is where the whole idea of Christmas came from, and those that do not "believe" have every right to celebrate Christmas for their own reasons, usually just as a time of goodwill, but what they do not have the right to do is criticise any religious tones in the decorations or anything else to do with an event that is based solely on the celebration of the birth of Christ.

I personally do not "believe" but i do celebrate Christmas for other reasons.

You really should know that the celebration at this time of year has nothing to do with Christ, and was hijacked by the Christians. Even Christians admit Christ was not born at this time of year. Surely you have heard this before.

I would not call it hijacking, more of a combination of festivals/celebrations, of which the birth of Jesus has become the dominant reason for the majority of people, rergardless of whether they believe in jesus or not.

My comment stands.

Those that wish to celebrate it as the Solstice festival of Yule or any other winter festival may of course do so.

In my original comment replace "soley" with "mainly".
