I watched the very moving documentary about the lovely comedian's slow descent into alzheimers and how his family dealt with it. Much light in it too, yet my prayers for those for are affected.

Yes ab, I watched it too and concur with all you say. It must be very difficult for any family to do what's best for their parent and themselves without criticism from others not perhaps in that situation.
The sadness one feels for anyone with this terrible disease is compounded by the fact that since I was a small boy this man made me laugh, usually uproariously, and now there's nothing left to laugh at.
