Ants probably have the sense not to let old oriental people drive on their highways- let alone drunks, junkies and severely impaired mechanical devices- like cheap old jalopies or Yugo's. They are on their way to work as well, and where we do that, they have enough sense to make the way to work "big enough" to support the traffic on it.
