There are enough idiots to ensure that every state gets its share and, as you know, an idiot never has to say they're sorry because an idiot is never wrong.
In other words, the "birthers" will forever and fervently believe in this conspiracy theory and will also be quite vocal about it. And, with our rumor and innuendo-driven media, along with our light-minded and gullible citizenry, the birthers are sure to have a ready-made audience.
I just ignore 'em.

For details, see Title 8 of the U.S. Code, available at www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode08.

In other words, Mr. Grimes, don't hold your breath. And see Title 8 of the U.S. Code.

Anyone born with U.S. citizenship retains it for life unless he or she deliberately gives it up -- for example, by filing an oath of renunciation.
