Doesn't gas normally follow crude, at least with some delay? Crude climbed to 120 today.

All that needs to happen is for Congress to *threaten* to drill in Anwar, build more refineries, allow more nuclear and coal plants and the price of oil/gasoline will drop like you would not believe. It's called "speculation" for a reason!!

As I understand it, we'd have a very difficult time bringing anywhere near enough production online to affect prices at all, considering that worldwide demand keeps growing.

I agree that 120 is over-inflated for the moment, but it's a taste of where we're headed.

The point Jatfla is making ( I think) is that the mere steps to threaten our oil providers with lost revenues would cause these countries to crash the market to make any venture in America unprofitable. They like out money.
