Thorne says: *yikes* 381 miles of safety between that madness and myself. Its a resolution. Its not law! We currently have a Republican majority in the House and Senate in MO. The speaker of the House is a Republican conservative, but MO. has always been known as moderates. After all, the state motto is "Show Me." We were a border state during the Civil War, we are a deeply divided state along city and rural lines. That's why we're moderates. We always have to get a consensus before anything gets done in MO. Satchamo, I was afraid someone from MO would take this clip personally. Please hear me when I say I am NOT attacking your state! As a blogger I have recently participated in an event called Blog Against Theocracy during which I was made aware of the numerous small and large ways that the line between the separation of church and state is being crossed. I clipped this article in reference to that. It is indeed frightening to think what could happen if enough states passed resolutions declaring a majority religion. Would that roll on toward a federal resolution?? Bad news, IMO. That's exactly right. With every inch given, we get closer to a theological takeover. scares me. Then, the question will be "Who is number 1?", with the reply, of course, "You are number 6." At that point, I suppose Rover will "Be seeing you." So God is really a screaming bubble? Arguably. Potentially. Yes. No. You are number 6. |
