I caught an article a couple years ago that showed that the rate of suicide in those over 35 was increasing.

The truth is this recession started for many of us in manufacturing 5 years ago. Housing was carrying large parts of the lost manufacturing economy and now that is gone too.

People have to put it in perspective, it is only a bankruptcy, get over it.

I expected the answer was yes. It's a very depressing time and, . .no humor or pun intended, they call this a recession. I think it's looking more like a depression everyday.

Do suicides go up - they sure do - and higher than seems since many don't seem to be "official" suicides. You will see more single car crashes, deaths due to overdoses of drugs, booze, food, etc. It is sad but we are all supposed to tough it out and be good capitalists and suffer alone - hogwash!
