Austrailian researchers? I got NEWS for them they're already doing it here in Colorado. I have to comment on the obvious difference between production of oil which one must assume will still give off carbon in the form of emissions, and production of Hydrogen which is totally clean burning with only water as potential emissions. I think the only common factor in the two lots of research is the mention of the word algae. Sorry mate but Colorado is not doing anything like the research being done here. Sorry mate but Colorado is not doing anything like the research being done here.Actually, at least 2 private companies are doing exactly what is being done in Australia with DNA manipulation and Algae pools. I will post the link as soon as I find out the patent status. One of the companies I have visited first hand. W/E stop bagging out Ozzie! What I'm thinking is what would happen if this sunlight-efficient algae were to escape into the environment... I don't care whose doing it and I hush up my mug if you'll fill up my car with that good ole hydrogen brew. Any chance that scientists can develop an algae that would produce beer? It's called Yeast. What they need is Beer brewing with an immune system. Might save on sterilizing. It's so hard to clean a brew kit, and once those vinegar bugs get in, the beer's sour. They might be able to develop a Yeast that eats bad bugs, as well as sugar. I suppose they'd have to be careful that's all they ate. Science has so much potential for use in peaceful purposes like this.Of course then some knuckle head is likely to invent one that has a taste for alcohol. Genetically modified algae? If you want it to capture more sunlight and produce more hydrogen why not just regenerate more of them |
