He sat down and talked to Mao, just after the Social Revolution. Eisenhower visited Spain at the height of Franco's power. Pinochet, Somoza, Saddam Hussein (before his forces crossed the Kuwaiti border) and the Shah where Washington BFF (and so is the current Chinese goverment, Qaddafi, and one Pakistani General turned self-appointed President).
