We live our days without worry - those of us directly unaffected by volcanos. However, I learned at this website something I hadn't really given much thought to. Many volcanos are active and a good number have been more active in the last 2 yrs. There has even been more activity in the last 3 months between several volcanos, which would be nice if one could see them "mapped out" on a map to get a general idea of their relationship / proximity to each other; or whether there is any relevance to their int...

If that can be said appropriately.

Also noted at this "Earth Observatory" website is that there are satellites carrying cameras specific to tracking not only the volcanic activity around the globe, but also equipment that is monitoring the ozone when detected sulfur dioxide and other gases are released.

This brought about an interesting thought that the govt is doing something even if it seems like nothing, to compile information on how much of the ozone is directly affected by volcanic activities. I'm sure this type of pollution cannot be changed without world catastrophe. But still implied is the fact that we can monitor and correct our "man made" problems that contribute to the ozone destruction. I'm beginning to wonder just what the score is: man-made vs volcanic activity on the ozone. Here is the link:
