Beware the politican promising that everybody will be equal. That means everyone but the politicans will be serfs.

Our minimum wage is very low. Raising it will not put an undue burden on the businesses that pay it, and will have positive side effects on both our economy (more money to spend) and our government (less needed to bail out people who can't get by on minimum wage).

At present, the slave class is making business profitable. (By "slave class" I mean the underpaid workers in USA and those workers overseas.) Start paying people a fair wage and profits go down.
If by serfs you mean that we will all have food, shelter and clothing, wouldn't that be a great world!
If you mean we will all be working for the politicians, then we have a problem because most couldn't run a chocolate wheel. (or maybe they can run a choc wheel but that's all.)
