Because of problems clipping I thought my Firefox was corrupt, so I deleted and reinstalled Firefox 3.5, then installed Clipmarks 4.0. Still have the same problem, cannot create new clips. After pressing lower Green Clipmarks.com button to create clip from highlights, nothing happens. Also cannot highlight individual phrases or sentences, just whole paragraphs. The same problem on IE 8 also. I'm stumped.

Maybe its my computer, using XP Home version, older hardware, but always worked before.

P.S. Am wondering if too many "add ons" can effect Clipmarks performance on browser, as some addons do not reinstall also. This might be why some people have problems and others do not.

Please, enough for a while. I haven't installed anything new yet and this morning my clipmark setting from way back is starting to act weird.

Both Amplify and Clipmarks work perfectly for me with this new add on. Thanks Eric

Is this the last one for a while or is there more?

last one - unless, of course, we find there are problems with it...but so far, looking strong and stable.

My orange lines are gone. Therefore I cannot "clip" pictures, videos, etc. To clip words I have to highlight them.

Works great on our Mac.

Yeah, the orange lines are gone...so if i want to clip something weird, it tells me i haven't clicked anything.
Also, i had to email to myself before i could save privately. There didn't seem to be anyway to save privately, it just kept telling me i was over the limit (no matter what i tried). Finally, as i said, i emailed to myself and then saw how to save privately--kind of a hassle, though. I have a Mac, btw.

I am very sorry to hear that some of you are having issues... I am currently working on the issues above and will let each of you know as I know more. One thing you can try on your own is to make sure that you do have the latest version (4.0.0). Sometimes Firefox will cache the last package you downloaded and though you think you are downloading the new one, you may not be. Also, I may contact some of you individually to get further details on your issue. Thanks!

@valann. I don't know if this helps because I'm not using amplify but there is no box to check to stop the orange box outlines. However, by clicking and holding down my mouse, despite the box, I can still highlight the portion of text I want and the the big orange box reduces to the small 'clip it' window. I don't know if that helps.

djkraz - am I supposed to be seeing on Clipmarks 4 that little check/uncheck box for the orange outlines as in the previous version?

Anyone that is not seeing the orange lines using Clipmarks 4.0, please press "control+shift+alt+b". This should bring the orange lines back when you enter clip mode.

michellezm thanks for your help. as the old version is working okay I'll stay with that but I'll try the control thing with amplify to see if it works there. I'll just have to remember not to update the clipmark button.

I think I posted some comments on the wrong clip, so I'll do it again here:

Is it no longer possible to save clips privately that are over 1000 characters? If so, how?

I really need to be able to save stuff, that's more than a mere 1000 characters. Will going back to a previous CM version, allow it?

After that, I've tried to uninstall the new CM version and it says "after restarting Firefox the addon will be uninstalled etc", but it doesn't get uninstalled. Am I stuck with the new version? (I have the newest version of Firefox installed, too)

A rebooting uninstalled it, so no worries there, but I can't install previous versions, it says they're not compatible. Dang. I'm going to go somewhere and pout big time now. Double dang.

I can not save more than 1000 characters even on private mode!

Any chances to have number of characters increased to at least 3000! It is hard to create an useful summary for blogging or sharing with less than 1000 characters.
