You are absolutely correct, Lexica.

Your body mass index (BMI) is a measure
of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women.

If you have a BMI of greater than 30, you are classified as obese.

This is a simplistic standard, a one-size fits all, not taking into account body fat percentage, or the actual composition of one's body.

Many who fall within the parameters of an acceptable BMI, i.e., less than 30, may in fact be "bags of mush," while those with higher BMIs may, in fact, be outstanding physical specimens.

This is me, in all my obesity, age 71 with a BMI of 35....
