I can see that to those who aren't Christians or Jews, and maybe Muslims, I'm not sure about them, would view the placement of a plaque whith the 10 commandments on them as a form of persecution, however the majority has its right to freedom of religion as well. Instead of trying to get the plaque, or whatever, taken down why not have Leviticus 19:33 posted as well? 33And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. IT'S VERY EASY TO BECOME A MAINSTREAM CHRISTIAN IN THE CULTURE WE LIVE IN IT IS ACTUALLY ACCEPTABLE IN A LOT OF OUR CHURCHES TODAY SOME CALL THEM SINNER FRIENDLY CHURCHES I DON'T WANT TO JUDGE BUT. SO MANY OF US WANT GOD JUST WHEN WE NEED HIM WHEN WE ARE IN OUR DESPERATE TIMES AND THEN WHEN HE GETS US OUT OF OUR MESS WE PUT HIM BACK IN A BOX, LET'S JUST WRAP CHRISTIANITY UP AND PUT A BOW ON IT MAKE IT LOOK PRETTY FOR THE WORLD, FIRST OFF THERE IS NOTHING PRETTY ABOUT THE CROSS IT'S DOWNRIGHT BLOODY.I HAVE SPENT MY WHOLE LIFE DOING THE WRONG THING DOING WHAT WAS COMFORTABLE TAKING THE EASY WAY OUT WITH EVERY SITUATION IN MY LIFE. NOW LET'S BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES, I'M A LIAR. I'M NOT SINFU... I can't agree with the premise within the article, but I can acknowledge the truth of the title of it. I have no affinity for the genuine Christian persecution that is being experienced around the world....even though I recognize that it is coming. It's subtle and is now manifested only by words, even here at Clipmarks. But it's a short step to the next level. It's shocking because we don't understand it, but it won't be a complete surprise. Not unlike the European Jews who could not comprehend that their European heritage, somehow, did not outweighed their Jewishness. |
