Viewing this piece reinforced deeply one of my understandings about Christians: their seeming inability to live with questions they cannot answer. Without the answers the church and its leaders provide, they are lost as to how to conceive of the world around them.

What are you trying to say? Its a basic human trait for people to look for answers about life, including scientists, technologists, doctors, etc..regardless of religion.

Brenda's children may rebel (as many children do) right into Christianity.

I thought the atheist family was indoctrinating their kids just as much as the Christian family.
I try not to do that to my kids. There is no doubt that what I think influences them, but my wife, our family, and all of their friends are also an influence on them.
