iTunes has issues it needs to resolve before it becomes more widely accepted. Several KEY problems with it exist, issues I've dealt with.

1. No sync with local folders procedure.
If you keep your songs sorted like I do in folders like "Alternative", "Dance", "HipHop" (I do this for my Archos) and you add a batch of new songs, you have to go through each directory adding them manually.

2. No batch relink of files
Let's say I discover a bunch of files in Dance that really belong in Techno. I have to move those songs with Explorer and then one by one relink them in iTunes. Sure, I could just reimport the batch of them but then I lose all the assoc. settings.

3. No network sharing
