Buddha was given the mushroom by a peasant who believed it to be a delicacy.

i am a bit confused with this hallucinogenic brief history..
am not sure anymore but i think: Buddha was an American rock star, Spinoza was a Dutch painter and Sahara was a famous Clipper?!? i got it right.. ?!? ..
