very cool! I have a feeling this is a photoshop job! No picture can be trusted anymore. Unless you specify the exact location ... Plus the name of the country actually changed to "Myanmar". I've sent it to my husband, a professional photographer and Photoshop wiz, for his opinion. I clipped what I found, it is up to you to trust or not. On the other hand, I used to see a lot of geological outcrops wonderful like this, a lot of miracles before a photoshop could touch them. It's obviously a painting folks! http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_praying_rocks.htm From the link above: Several readers have written to suggest that the painting is likely the work of artist Bev Doolittle, though this remains unconfirmed. It's starting to come up on Snopes.com and other hoaxbusting sites, so it's under investigation. But c'mon. Look at the picture; some of the "reflection" doesn't even remotely match, even allowing for potential distortion. It's a painting, everyone. I suppose if that's what it is, then so be it. It is still a neat painting, nonetheless. ; ) Speaking of paintings- I will be clipping one here for all the 'critics' to look at and examone closely. It is an actual painting that I have seen and touched the canvas with my own hands. It is one of the most photo realistic paintings I have seen in years. It's a lovely painting, but not the miracle it's being toted as. I look forward to seeing yours! Ok. it's up in my clipmarks now. ; ) Be prepared to gasp, his work is unlike ANY you have ever seen before. Make sure you goto his site to check out ALL of his work, its simply incredible. I invite your hubby to check it out as well, he will have a hard time believing his eyes. : ) I'll check it out, thanks! |
