I've been on both sides of the blue laws during my time as a retail worker and an "enforcer" of sorts as an R.A. at college. I agree that the religous reasons for the law have got to go, but there's something smart about not selling alcohol between saturday eve and sunday morning. It probably keeps a good number of people from falling over the edge into addiction.

Though I do with they'd go ahead and legalize marijuana ... you know... for religious purposes

What about Friday night and Saturday morning? If someone's that close to addiction, the day of the week makes no difference.
