My granddaughter is first nations. She is fortunate in her school they have a twice a week program to teach her about her culture. Hopefully with all the cutbacks proposed for schools this year they'll be able to hang on to it. She is very proud of her heritage. My sister-in-law and two nieces are also first nations and My sister -in-law makes sure her daughters know their heritage too.
