“I urge all Americans to come to Washington this Thursday. Dear Friend, Sen. Lieberman has indicated he plans to join with Republicans to filibuster any health care bill that contains a public option. Alone, the Republicans don't have the votes for a filibuster. So by joining with them, Lieberman would be tipping the balance of power in order to sink health care reform. We need to push the leaders of the Democratic caucus to take a tough stand against Lieberman. Last year, an anonymous member of the Senate Democratic leadership said about Lieberman: "We need every vote. He's with us on everything but the war." Now is the time for Senate Democratic leadership -- Senators Reid, Schumer and Durbin -- to stop making excuses for Joe Lieberman. Harry R... I wish. I really believe a million people could show up and it wouldn't matter. You saw how many at the Tea Parties and Town hall meetings were ridiculed. The only thing that will truly make a difference is to vote them out...starting from the top (Pelosi and Reid) and working downward. jatfla, I'm not giving up! But I agree, VOTE THEM OUT! God Bless Senator Lieberman... Good guy for a democrat ; ) I think so too but how could he have worked with Al Gore. That would have been as hard as McCain and Palin. |
