i understand what you are saying-- i have a 2 1/2 yr old that is entering the 'princess' phase...I didn't encourage it- but it seems like it's a 'rite of passage' for little girls. It doesn't really bother me so much- but i wish it wasn't thrown down their throats.

I would - sardonically - suggest that you might read "Generation of Vipers" by Philip Wylie, especially chapter 5 "A Specimen American Myth".
