willhelm says: "As this power passes from each individual to a central governing power, individual freedom and liberty is snuffed out, replaced with an arbitrary economic equality as defined, confiscated via progressive taxation and redistributed by those who seek the political power to rule over the lives of others." Serfdom Small, limited government. Not exactly the direction the Dems want to take us in. Not exactly what these neocons want either, government has grown, with the Department of Homeland security and others, and freedom and liberty have shrunk under the Patriot Act, etc. There are many, many, so-called republicans that defend this and liberals that go along with it, there seems to be a melding together of these two parties toward bigger government. They go as far as to chastise those who stand against this. As Jefferson also said, "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." Have you ever read this? Gotta love TJ! http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0616-03.htm You are complex, Sahara. You make a great comment, then post a link to Commondreams, a Statist front. You display support for a Libertarian candidate, whom I love, but then opt otherwise for a 'man-of-action" progressive ( neo-fascist ), whom I despise. I'm not being critical. 'man-of-action" progressiveWho? also when did i display support of them, I am confused now! I am for Ron Paul all the way. NO other will do. The link to that site was not the point, I peruse various sites to give myself a broader range of insight and often leave comments to the ones that I feel the need to, no use "preaching to the choir", right? That's why I rarely comment or participate on Ron Paul sites. They already are there... I'm sorry, I guess I gathered you supported Obama. I'm with you on Neo-cons. I gathered you supported ObamaWow, that's a first! So, "if" Ron Paul is not on the ballot in November (you do know McCain has secured the nomination, right?), then you plan on sitting it out? Write in. Many of us plan to,(write in) http://www.write-in-ron-paul.com/ also there is a big event on July 12th in Washington DC. You should see my clip The American People are the Problem. You are exempted. — Comment removed by clipper — — Comment removed by clipper — You should see my clip The American People are the Problem. You are exempted.I seached for it and couldn't find it. Do you have a link? — Comment removed by clipper — Small, limited government is what conservative want. It may not be what we have been getting from our elected representatives , but as a self-professed neo-con I can tell you, that is what we want. sillysam, If you want a small, limited government, then that is not really in line with you being a "self-professed neocon". Neo-cons are moderate progressives when it comes to the size and scope of government. Wasn't it your clip I read that suggested the Republican Party wants to force Libertarians out? I think the problem is that our 2-party system is really just a one party system that foments division among the populace for the purpose of maintaining their own power. And I do not mean just the power of elected officials, I am talking about the power created by the entire system of lobbyists, elected officials, life-time bureaucrats, the Fed, etc. It is set up so party loyalists can b... Neocon, like homophobe, has no meaning anymore. Homophobe is anyone who disagrees with any part of the homosexual agenda. Neocon is anyone to the right of and including Joe Lieberman. |
