Very true, you will be surprised at what people were doing behind the wheels even here in the States eg . eating, looking into the mirror at themselves, messing their hair, talking on the cell phone and shifting gears all at once. Oh looking around to look cool. I felt like asking them Whatsup MONKEY. Peace They obviously haven't seen how people drive in the U.A.E. Babies, toddlers and infants sit either on the driver's lap or on the front seat. Once in a while, they'll be in the back, but not necessarily seated. Seatbelts and booster seats are nowhere to be seen. Regardless of where they're sitting, the windows are usually rolled down all the way and the kid's sticking his/her head out while daddy dearest is going at about 120kmph. It's appalling, I say. Sometimes, the baby in the front seat is the one steering the car. It's one thing to talk on the phone or put on lipstick or shave, but when there's a kid who's pretty much half out the window, that's an entirely different hazard. They'll have to move to California... Seatbelts and booster seats are nowhere to be seen. I'm one of those parents that is keeping her child in a five-point restraint system as long as I can (eight, maybe?). |
