Gmail will now work in a very similar way as Outlook does on the PC desktop. That seems huge! I've had my .Mac account connected to gmail for like 6 months now...it doesn't seem like anything new to me. Dammit, the feature is not enabled on my account yet. I've been waiting for this for some time now. perhaps it's time to make the move from 'yahoo' mail to Gmail.. I long-ago migrated to Gmail and don't really use any other email accounts ('cept for forwarding, which ends up going... to my Gmail), but they're just baggin' it all in! I still find Gmail responsiveness time to be slow, however, compared to a number of desktop clients and regular Google searching itself (granted, it's not the same thing). And I wish I could show more than 20 search results at a time — I'm *so* used to showing 100 by default when doing Google searches! Is there an easier way to cross-reference and link related clips? I also saw this: http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/FD648F17-2626-4AEC-B157-D13ECB3BBB46/ (I must remark the "More clips with these tags..." is quite nice!) I've been doing this for over a year with Gmail. That's all I use. Its spam filter is fantastic. I display 100 items at a time - check under Settings. Maybe we' ve all got a slightly different version of Gmail? It is a nice feature, but i hate to give Google my passwords to other email accounts They may spy on my other mails wow i didnt no!Great! That is a good idea. What would make Gmail perfect for me is if they had a option to turn of the 'conversation' feature so that each email just stands alone. That feature is really useful but sometimes I just need to see each email there like in other services. I tried this, and I really made a mess. My work email is an Microsoft Exchange (IMAP) server and we have Outlook 2003 installed, and I had previously configured Outlook to fetch my mail from my Gmail account as well. Little did I know that Outlook actually stored copies of all the mail retrieved from Gmail on the Exchange server. When I set up Gmail to check my work email, Outlook was also running. Within twenty minutes, it had created new copies of all the Gmail messages that Outlook had previously stored on the Exchange server. Outlook then downloaded those new copies and stored them on the Exchange server. You see where this is going. Suddenly I had like ten copies of everything. I... I agree that the spam feature on Gmail is great. so-so |
