Republicans can not compete with the Democrats on the immigration issue. McCain is more in alignment with Liberals on the issue. Most Republicans would not consider selling the country out for votes.

The millions already here and the countless millions just waiting for either McCain or Obama to take office, along with the liberal Congress, to open the flood gates to any and all to invade. Since the liberals would be seen as "saviors" to these illegals, of course they would vote Democrat. This would effectively spell doom to the Republican Party. ...

However what liberals can not conceive is that shortly thereafter the Democratic Party would succumb to the La Raza Party.

Once Hispanics gain the majority, and it won't take long with open borders, which candidate would they vote for, a Democrat or a Hispanic in La Raza? Doesn’t take a lot of brain cells to figure this one out.
