Sigh, why don't people see everything unraveling around them?
I don't want to move. I've lived here 40+ years and all my memories are here. But I doubt I can afford NJ much longer.

Isn't it the party's choice who ends up on the party's ballots? This has nothing to do with the US and everything to do with the democrats. Anyway, if you don't want to support the party, why should the party support you? And why are you running as a candidate for that party anyway? Why not just run as an independent?

DK is trying to work within his party and give it some integrity. Loyalty oaths are stupid ways to intimidadate. He also has seniority and positioned on committees. Whay give that up to be an Indie? As usual, too-soon,
You don't have a clue to what your saying.

I know exactly what I am saying. If you don't support the party, then don't cry like a baby and go to the courts when the party doesn't support you. Take Lieberman for example, he didn't whine, he just ran and won anyway.

But this has nothing to do with America being a democracy, or with the downfall of the nation, or with things going to crap (other than maybe the democrat party, but I leave that to them to sort out), this is simply the democrat party deciding on what requirements they will have on who can be on the democrat ticket. And unless they are discriminating in some way (race, sex, religion...), then I don't think the courts should or can do squat about it.

The Democratic Party in Texas must be fuula shithead Republicans, or of the same mindset.
Too-soon , did YOU ever have to sign a loyalty oath? If so, I bet you didn't even blink, good little citizen kool aid drinker that you sound like.

Damn that Lieberman for standing on his principals.

And I am not condoning what the democrat party did, I am defending their right to do it. If the courts are allowed to take over who the party is allowed or required to put on their ticket, then it would be the government party.

As for me, if I were running for a party and they wanted me to make concessions that went against what I believed, then I would give them the option of either accepting me as I am or I would dump the party. I wouldn't be trying to sue my way in, or whining about it, I would take the actions I deemed necessary. Just as how I may not be voting for anyone for president if the republican party nominates someone who doe...

Lieberman and principles (notice the spelling, too-soon) is an oxymoron.
He was just a corpo-Dem Hawk. Big deal...
