The sheer cynicism and duplicity of the European political leadership is something that most Americans don't really fathom. Whether it comes from the millenia of aristocratic disdain for the peasants who make up the majority of the population - or just the sheer egotism that they always know the right thing - European national leaders don't much like their countrymen. And do everything they can to subvert their will.
Its interesting that the membership has fallen, but whenever the Dead Stream Media needs a "Muslims are victims" quote - they always go to CAIR. However, it is encouraging that the vast majority of the membership has moved away from these guys.
