POPSWisconsin Elementary school's 'WACKY WEEK' stirs controversy. What where they thinking? With all the craziness in this world already must we be playing dress-up during the time when our children are supposed to be learning? It would appear from the participation that a minority of the students actually participated. Could this indicate that the majority thought it was just plain silly? Talk about WACKY WEEK! I think the only thing wacky about this week was the school district's idea of a wacky week.

POPS13 yr old teenager charged in prostitution crime This story saddens me and sickens me at the same time. I have only one question and that is, is this club Metropolis still open for business? It should be burned to the ground. All patrons, workers, owners etc. should be arrested and charged with corruption of minors at the very least. Oh you may say that is extreme but you can not tell me that NOBODY there knew this was not going on. Everyone present at the time of the arrest should be charged with something.

POPS25% of American Teen girls has an STD I guess passing out condoms in school is not helping to educate our young people about the hazards associated with recreational sex. The article goes on to deride abstinence teaching as incomplete. Perhaps what we really need to teach these young people is the sinfulness of recreational sex. The bible calls this fornication. Society calls it recreation.

POPSSin by any other name Interesting how culture changes ones perspective. The things the bible calls sin does not seem to make the top 10 list. I guess the reason for that is most churches do not preach about sin anymore. So then society is left to it's own devises to come up with respectable behavior.

However; I have seen and heard a lot of things lately that used to be taboo only to see them becoming more and more mainstream. No one can convince me that this 12 yr old has any clue as to what all this means. This is a case where the parents should be held for felonious assault on their own son. Ahem daughter.

To say the devil made me do it of I can't help myself does not negate our responsibility before God to live righteously in an unrighteous world. How then are we to live? What is required of each of us? It would appear in our society where the victim mentality runs rampant we have a tendency to dismiss all our foibles and fallacies on forces beyond our control. It is true that there are forces at work in our lives we may not be aware of but that does not excuse us when we behave badly. Accepting the fact that we are LOST without hope without a savior is the first step in living rightly in an mixed-up world. Turn towards Christ and away from sin and you shall live.
