"It's about a friendship - a hard-won friendship - between two black men, both of them artists," Troupe explained. "Through that friendship, the film will explore Miles's life." The producer Rudy Langlais said independent financing for "Miles and Me" is in place through Patriot Pictures and Beacon Pictures, and talks are under way with actors and filmmakers. "We will be up and running next year," predicted Langlais, whose credits include "The Hurricane," about the controversial criminal case involving the boxer Hurricane Carter, and television movies about the Atlanta child murders of the late 1970s and early '80s and the gang leader Stanley Tookie Williams.

POPS...got answers? I had Answers installed on my computer and didn't like it. Later, I gave the extension a try. Didn't like it. Well I thought I'd give the new version of the extension a shot and, Lord have mercy my people, this thing smokes! Incredibly fast and intuitive. You don't even need to highlight. I don't know how it does it but, for instance, I clicked on Earth Wind and Fire--just like this, complete, not EWF, and BOOM! chackalackalacka, there's the little popup with info, links, and pictures. You got to check this thing.

POPSThe war within the west (4) [P] I don't like the all too common use of the term "the west" as used here when what is really meant is free democratic civilisation. I guess it's easier and done in laziness with the thought that what is meant will be inferred, but it leaves out India, Australia, Philippines, and so many other non western nations facing the same threats. The term should have been dropped long ago.
