POPSGeese Gassed for pooping on Golf Course Golfers with a God complex successfully had an entire flock of fifty Canadian Geese gassed to death because they were upset about droppings on the greens. Of course, this is the same city where the city counsel threatened to euthanize a large group of harmless feral cats because they left some poop and prey in the picnic area. An individual mobilized a protest and adoption program, and the city councel gave a thirty-day extension for the capture and adoption to continue. Of course, an absent city councelman later commented that they could find castles for each cat in thirty days. Many still need homes. It is also the city made semi-famous by a UFO sighting that has since been debunked. The killing of these Geese is a Travesty. I would encourage anyone who is offended by these killings to voice their feelings at pnj.com, nwfdailynews.com, tigerpointclub.com, and to your Federal Representatives. PLEASE POP THIS!!!!!

POPSFeral Cat population vs. City Hall These beautiful cats are facing a threat from the Gulf Breeze City Council. They live around the Gulf Breeze end of the Pensacola Bay Bridge in Northwest Florida. When the council announced that the cats would be trapped and destroyed, a few wonderful people arranged a charity fund to have the cats fixed and have their health checked. They have, so far, managed to rescue and place in adopted homes over twenty of the cats. There are still over twenty needing homes. The city council agreed to extend the deadline for these cats to August 1, 2007 when a crowd of caring cat lovers overflowed the meeting room at City Hall to show their support for the cats. The effort to save these cats can still use help from other caring cat lovers. More information is available at the website www.waysidecats.com.

POPSBorder agents imprisoned for shooting Drug Smuggler These agents reported to prison yesterday. A federal judge refused to allow them to remain free while seeking appeal. Fifty-five congressmen have petitioned President Bush to pardon the agents, and the President has ignored these congressmen altogether. The drug smuggler was not only granted immunity for the smuggling at which the shooting took place, but for a larger second smuggling attempt which took place later. The smuggler is suing the United States for five-million dollars. If this story matters to you, then please write to President Bush and your federal representatives and make your feelings known. A democratic government only works if you participate.
