POPS Buttars takes aim at stores waging 'war on Christmas' Give me a break here. Do we really need our elected officials telling stores how to advertise? Isn't there more important issues to be dealt with? Not to mention there isn't really a, supposed, 'war on Christmas'. Business' target the highest number of people possible. That includes people of non-Christian faiths. So to target just them, during this time of year, would reduce their influx of money. Let's not forget that very important amendment to the constitution. That keeps the government from "make(ing) no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of."

YES only 90! (In an area that has a population of aprox 2 million) complaints about the billboard. And with those 90 complaints they went to the billboard company to have it yanked down. These bastards stomped all over the 1st amendment because they don't like the idea of people displaying anything that opposes their ideological illness.

And I'm also saddened when no one stood up for those whom she truly slandered, the Atheists. Who cares if the person she named in the attack is actually a Christian? It's bad form to misrepresent the person, but to discredit the multitude of Atheist and to have no one point out that Atheists are Americans to. I now have to fight the bile rising in my through. POPSAU ask IRS to investigate N.C. Baptist funding of political rally. With so many stories like this popping up this year, I'm really starting to like the idea of abolishing religious tax exemptions. They should only maintain exemption for the money they get for social assistance programs. They want a nice big fancy church, they should pay taxes on that just like everyone else. They set up a shelter for the homeless, as with secular programs, they receive tax exemption.

POPSItaly misses opertunity to defend free speech. Italian officials had a great opportunity to defend the free speech of it's citizens. But instead they opted to appease the ego of the bigoted catholic leader. One thing people keep forgetting, freedom of speech doesn't protect you from hearing stuff you don't like. In fact when people spout stuff you find offensive, you know it's working.

What I have a problem is when they openly display (While on 'official' duty) their support of their ideology. It's a private matter, and should remain as such. Pray as you want (Or don't at all), just do so in 'unofficial' matters.

The judge shouldn't allow the banner, but the judge was justified because the school allows other 'personal religious' messages. Answer, the school needs to ban ALL religious messages, save for social study classes.
