Why I use Clipmarks
I am constantly researching things, blogging about news I find on the net, and sending clips of articles to my friends. This is just the perfect thing for me. Also, while my friends may not always appreciate all the things I find so fascinating, someone on Clipmarks is bound to!

Forget gay marriage and abortion - how'd you like to live in a country where all religions are illegal except for Christianity, where it's illegal to have a statue of Buddha or to use certain swear words, and where attending church is mandatory? Sounds a lot like the Taliban to me.

The Growing Hunger for Political Shallowness
Kore7
by Kore7  10-31-2007    4
Author Robert Harris has some biting words about the political situation we find ourselves in today. Robert Harris' new novel features a once-popular former British prime minister who becomes fiercely criticized for collaborating with the United States in the war on terror. The character's name is Adam Lang, not Tony Blair, but otherwise the similarities are unmistakable. Full interview here .

Woman tortured in sick hate crime
Monkfishy
by Monkfishy  10-24-2007
This woman was horribly tortured and abused in a crime that was obviously based on hate. The penalty for hate, though, is miniscule compared to the penalties for rape, kidnapping, and all the other things they're going to be able to convict them of. While you can't call this anything other than hate, I agree that these people need to get the maximum penalties they can possibly get.
