Still a Democracy. 'How about you?'
    righthand
    by righthand  11-22-2007    5
The voters will decide, with a far stronger opposition media than exists in the USA proselytising against the government. Venezuelans have not lost civil liberties the way people in the US or the UK have in recent years, and ordinary citizens continue to have more say in their government, and share more in its oil wealth, than ever before. It is doubtful that the referendum will reverse these changes, regardless of the outcome. He does seem to be trying to give the poor some healthcare and some hope. 'How about you?'

Bacha is from Iraq," it´s a Of all the dishes, this is the one most likely to be mistaken for a threatening message from the mob. It’s a sheep’s head. Boiled." And in Brazil there´s a dish from ant´s eggs to (the ant is called "tanajura",it´s eaten friend with fried manioc flour. :)) (never tried and I dont wanna) The last one Balut if from Philippines, "Balut are duck eggs that have been incubated until the fetus is all feathery and beaky, and then boiled alive. The bones give the eggs a uniquely crunchy texture. They are enjoyed in Cambodia, Philippines and the fifth and seventh levels of hell. They are typically sold by street vendors at night, out of buckets of warm sand. You can spot the vendors because of their glowing red eyes, and the faint, otherworldly sound of children screaming."

The Mission Ruins in Rio Grande do Sul

If you saw the film "The Mission" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mission_%28film%29) with Robert De Nio, you can have an idea of this place. It´s a sad aprt of our History. "In 1570, treaty of Madrid ruled the reductions localized in the brazilian territory become property of the Portugal Kingdon. Natives didn´t accept and began the war called Guaranitical (from the word Guarani, native) Wars. Native resistence was coordinated by the native 'Sepe Tiaraju' and his historical slogan: "This land has an owner!". Although navites was victorious in the early begining the war against luso and hispanic troops due to knowledge of the terrain, more entusiasm and tactical mobility, the troops of the kingdon prevail due to technological superiorty and fire power." see more in the sites: http://rodrigomochileiro.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A3o_Miguel_das_Miss%C3%B5es

    Blindness em São Paulo
    Patty2007
    by Patty2007  9-24-2007

    Palestinians Relocating to Brazil
    brazilnut72
    by brazilnut72  9-20-2007    8
This is a very generous offer on the part of the Brazilian government. And still I ask--where are the oil-rich Arab countries taking the lead in helping the Palestinian refugees? Why does an economically emerging country like Brazil have to shoulder the burden?

The fact that this book was banned is amazing. It must have had some real off-the-wall stuff to get banned in Brazil. The leftists have almost total control of the educational system here.
