POPS'Listening' Politicians Are A Menace Another nice piece by David Aaronovitch, which has resonance on both sides of the Atlantic. When the latest New York Times poll came out the other day indicating that many voters think Hillary Clinton says what she thinks voters want to hear rather than what she genuinely believes - the ludicrous gas tax 'holiday' for instance - I couldn't help but be reminded of Garry Trudeau's classic "Tanner" mini-series, where one of the ads for the fictional candidate featured footage of him "listening"....
