US vs. Iran - Part II (Iran airs contrasting footage of US navy standoff)
TheCatWhisperer
by TheCatWhisperer  1-10-2008
I'm actually starting to lean towards Iran's version here... This actually does sound rather fishy. Like my comment on yesterday's story, I just don't see how Iran would benefit froma confrontation with the US. The "peace talks" IMO, will do no real good. So any mischief here would nierther add to the process or take away from them in the long run. If anything it would hurt Iran, not help them. Ie: it makes no sense that they would pull this kind of move. Plus the voice just sounds too "fake" to be what an Iranian wouls say... granted, I don't know that many Iranians :P

Iran Accuses U.S. of Faking Persian Gulf Video
TheCatWhisperer
by TheCatWhisperer  1-9-2008
Seems a littel stupid on both sides. i mean, If I were Iran, i would not send speed boats out to pester a warship in a battle group. that;s just fucking stupid. At teh same time, I can't imagine the US being soo desperate for conflict that they'd resort to such sillyness as faking a video like this. If anything, I would guess it was a 3rd party in speed boats.. possibly Iranian, but not of the military/navy/etc. That's like blaming Afghanistan for Osama Bin laden. He wasn't a soldier. So its not exactly Afghanistan's fault. Heck I could be wrong about it being a 3rd party... The president of Iran isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. PS: What really would Iran get out of a conflict with the US? nothing. they have too much to lose.

The next terrorist threat: 14 year old girls!
TheCatWhisperer
by TheCatWhisperer  10-20-2006    2
OMG.. yeah, a 14 year old girl is a serious threat.. at that, an honor's student.. a little leg work would have shown they needed not bother harassing her... a simple email or phone call woul dhave sufficed. Leave it to the US to crack down on a little girl's mistake. pathetic.

Radical games...
TheCatWhisperer

It is enough to make one question the right to free speech, freedom of expression, etc. Now, I love the ability in our civilization to be able to express one's self freely, but I have to stop and question what is going too far? A game, who's central plot is the killing of a real world person seems to me to be disgusting. Now I feel the same way if it is Bush or Saddam Hussein. I have no issue with them making games where the US Army, or the Israeli army are the enemy, that is no different then our games that paint them as the enemy (even if we feel it is justified in our case).. but a game where the point is to assassinate a world leader? too far. (And I know, I spoke out for "A Death of a President", but I feel that is different, that's a movie, who's central plot is the fallout of an assassination, rather than the glorified killing of the president at the user's hands...)

US threat 'to bomb Pakistan' after 9/11
TheCatWhisperer
by TheCatWhisperer  9-22-2006
It wouldn't suprose me in the least if the US tried to bully (well prolly succeeded) pakistan. Bush's famous line of "You are either with us or with the terrorists" to this day pisses me off to no end. How #%&* arrogant are you to belive your way is the only way? Did a right good job too didn't he.. Iraq is in great shape.. so is afghanistan...

TheCatWhisperer
by TheCatWhisperer  9-22-2006
It's true, bush calls him an eil dictator, and worse, but if Chavez calls Bush names, it's wrong in american's eyes.. a littl ehypocritical IMO. Chavez did go a bit over the edge... I mean, bush isn't the devil.. he's not that smart ;) Cahney.. now there's the devil :D ok.. sorry... I know, not nice. but funny.. to me ;)

Was the 2004 Election stolen? (by Robert F. Kennedy)
TheCatWhisperer
by TheCatWhisperer  9-18-2006
Kind-of late to the party, but an intersting article, not that anything would ever be done about such things even if true in the U.S. We all know the U.S. is THE basition of democracy and voter fraud would never happen there. (only mild sarcasm intended) ;)
