POPSGuess What? I'm a Terrorist! I don't know whether to laugh or cry right now. The Alabama Department of Homeland Security has declared that as a gay man, I am to be considered a terrorist. Wow. I had no idea my friends and I are such a severe threat to national security. I believed all along that all we were guilty of was loving someone of the same gender. Thank you Alabama Dept of Homeland Security for setting the record straight and for empowering me to such a consequential degree.

POPSNo Problem With Gay Soldiers in British Military One of the most amazing pieces of info in this article, that you will read, if you take the time consume the entire piece online, is that the Brits are afraid to publicize its success with their acceptance of gays in the military for fear of upsetting the higher-ups in the U.S. government. This is appalling in my rarely to be humble opinion. Why should Britain or any other of the many countries who permit gays to serve openly in the military, keep their mouths shut about the success of their decision just to placate the homophobic bigots, such as Peter Pace, in the U.S.? Isn't the U.S. strong enough to withstand the fact that they might be wrong on a particular issue? I don't believe our country is so delicate that it cannot stand-up to the facts of the matter.

POPSGay Comedy Produced By Gays...How Unique Finally a gay positive TV show presented from the perspective of the gay sensibility. Will and Grace broke the mold and made positive gay characters possible on a mainstream television sitcom. But the show was essentially straight people talking about us, and showing an audience their perception of gays. Now we have gays presenting their own perception of who they, or should I say we, are. I live in Canada, and I cannot get this new channel and the gay lifestyle channel on her cable and satellite grid is not scheduled, yet, to carry it. But the moment I an able to find a way to watch The Big Gay Sketch Show, you can be sure I will be doing so.

POPSThis is the government Bush praises as being democratic.
Where is the revulsion about this matter? We keep hearing how this nascent Iraqi government believes in Democracy, and yet, right before their eyes, a minority group is being murdered and they are in total denial. Why has the media been silent about this? Why has this question not been asked of the president during news conferences. Are gays and lesbians just not really important enough to be of concern to the president or the media? This president stands and defends this Iraq government knowing full well, that they are murdering people strictly based on their sexuality. Al Malaki is no better than the other murderers that are marauding the country and killing innocent civilians. Let's get the hell out of there and stop defending this government. If their democracy and freedom is important enough to them, they would be happy to see us go so they can make their own country work. Of not, at the very least they should renounce violence against ALL of its citizens.

POPSTake responsibility for your words Interesting blog entry on using non-offensive language. I recommend that interested Clippers read the entire entry. I found it thought provoking, especially the part about "gay" and "retarded" being lazy adjectives. Why use them except to be insulting? Why are those words used as insults? It seems strange to me that some people wouldn't dream of using "gay" as an insult but feel free to use "retarded" as a synonym for "stupid."

POPSGay Marriage Paradox Interesting idea...most Americans oppose gay marriage, yet don't want it written into the constitution because that would be intolerant? So it's okay to BE intolerant...just not to legalize it?

POPSHillary Needed To Be Reminded Of Her Feelings? I don't wanna keep belabouring this piont, but each time I am reminded of how Hillary had to be embarrassed into taking a position on an issue she continues to claim as her own, I find myself becoming angry. She seems to be so incapable of speaking off the cup, about anything that might be considered even remotely controversial, that she first has to go back, check with her campaign team, and then say what she is cleared to state. Very sad indeed for someone who wants to lead the country and the entire free world. I had such great hopes for Hillary, but the more I observe her as a candidate the more I am looking elsewhere. Richardson or Obama perhaps?

POPSThe Gay Animal Kingdom Didn't god make these animals too? So much for the "abomination" theory. But then, which is true, real life facts, or a bible written by 1st century goat herders?

POPSYes, there really are gay animals From Salon magazine, 1999. Research into "alternative sexual behavior" among animals. Apparently, it's much more prevalent than you might think. So much for homosexuality being "unnatural."

POPSWhy Should Being Gay Be a Crime? If Michael Savage is upset with the Catholic church, he ought to be downright livid if the United Nations adopts a resolution calling for the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality. And when he finds out the resolution was offered by a black gay Frenchman? Well he'll probably call for the bombing of the U.N. and for the U.S. to finally invade and occupy France. What will be interesting to see is where the Bush administration stands. After all, they flip-flopped on allowing gay human rights activists to have U.N. access. Post-election, where will the Bush administration come down on this? Where would their base want them to come down? Three guesses, and the first two don't count.
