Iraq For Sale: The War Profiteers
Turtle
by Turtle  10-17-2006
This film is quite an eye-opener - all about a handful of greedy corporations that are reaping exorbitant profits in Iraq at the expense of human lives and taxpayers' dollars and the political machinery that allows them to get away with it. You can buy the DVD at this site or rent it from Netflix.

What's that bug?
Turtle
by Turtle  8-13-2006    1
This is an excellent site to identify unknown creeper crawlers around your house or garden. Yesterday I saw this huge yellow and black striped insect buzzing around the garden. It was about 2" long. I thought for sure that it was some kind of giant bee - possibly a killer bee!! My mind was put at ease when, after checking out this site, I discovered that my new neighbor is more than likely a Cicada Killer Wasp

"fishermen often accidentally catch the creatures in their nets, deep-freeze them and defrost them in preparation for the tournament.' I mean, what else would you do with a dead conger besides cuddle it? It all sounds like good clean fun to me.

Slobber Lager - beer for dogs
Turtle
by Turtle  7-26-2006
I read a newspaper article this morning about Slobber Lager (it's beef flavored, by the way) and thought it might make an interesting clip. While searching Google for beer for dogs I found that the Slobber folk do not have a unique product. There's also Happy Tail Ale (mentioned above) by the Dog Star Brewing Co .
